Sauvignon Blanc. Esk Valley, Marlborough. New Zealand.
Powerful wine, intensely aromatic with a medley of ripe, tropical flavours and cooler notes of green fruits and fresh herbs. It is rich and full flavoured with a crisp dry finish which provides freshness and length to the palate. Enjoy with grilled and roasted white meats, spicy dishes, fish or shellfish.
Esk Valley is a boutique winery, situated in the north of New Zealand’s picturesque Hawkes Bay region. The winery sources fruit from the major wine regions of New Zealand, including Marlborough and the Gimblett Gravels which consistently produce grapes of an extremely high quality. Esk Valley’s history can be traced back to 1933 when Englishman Robert Bird first planted vines in Bay View and established Glenvale Winery. It was from these historic cellars that Esk Valley emerged in 1988 and quickly became one of the great and pioneering names of New Zealand wine. Today it is led by veteran winemaker Gordon Russell who is renowned for hand-crafted premium reds and elegant whites.
